# Refynd

> Refynd (shoprefynd.com) is a free search engine for modest dresses. It indexes about 85,000 in-stock dresses from roughly 100 online stores and tags each one from its own product photos, using a vision model, for sleeve length, neckline, hem length, slits, sheer panels, cut-outs and open backs. Shoppers filter every store at once for their own modesty standard. Refynd sells nothing itself; every listing links out to the retailer that sells it, and some links earn a commission.

Key facts from our published research (index snapshot of 24 August 2026, 83,353 in-stock dresses from 100 stores):

- 1,494 dresses (1.8%) are fully covered: long sleeves, modest neckline, hem at or below the knee, nothing sheer, slit, cut out or open backed.
- Sleeves are the constraint, not hemlines: only 11.9% of dresses have long sleeves, while 77.2% already reach the knee or lower. 67.4% are sleeveless.
- Covering the arms predicts covering the chest: 37.8% of long-sleeve dresses have a modest neckline, against 13.1% of sleeveless ones.
- Maxi dresses are less likely to be modest than knee-length ones (1.9% vs 5.2% fully covered), because floor-length inventory is mostly strapless evening wear.
- The median fully covered dress costs $149 against $125 for the rest of the catalogue, a premium of about 19%.
- 28 of the 100 stores indexed carry no fully covered dress at all; one mass-market retailer (ASOS) accounts for close to a third of all fully covered dresses.
