Birdy Grey, Bella Bridesmaids, David's Bridal, Amsale, Kennedy Blue and Show Me Your Mumu sell about 5,300 dress styles between them. We looked for sleeves to the elbow, a covered neckline and a hem below the knee, with no slit and nothing sheer, then checked every match by eye. 35 held up. Most of those are mother-of-the-bride gowns and jacket sets.

Birdy Grey is the extreme case. It sells 209 styles, some in as many as 97 colors. About 30 come with sleeves, and every one of those pairs them with a thigh slit, an open neckline or bare shoulders. Our tags flagged exactly one as covered, the Paola. It turned out to be a strapless dress with long detachable sleeves.

Outside those six stores there are a few hundred covered, dressy dresses in the usual bridesmaid colors, most under $300. About a third are at ASOS. Evening labels like Club L London and Tadashi Shoji cut sleeves as standard, so they're worth checking first.

How we counted
We counted styles, not listings. Bridesmaid stores list every color separately, so a dress sold in 60 colors counts once. Tags come from product photos, and we checked every covered match by eye. Counted 23 September 2026.
